Harnessing the power of the superfan through a Digital Experience

 
 
 

PROBLEM:

First party, Artist driven gateway for Superfans


Rocnation is a dynamic, worldwide brand and exists as a Venture Captial firm, talent agency, record label and more. Founded by Jay Z, Rocnation has a massive amount of influence from not only the founder's large fanbase but also due to their smart acquisitions and brand partnerships. This creates an affinity for all things Rocnation hence why the organization's portfolio is so diverse. How do we encourage superfan behavior and consumption patterns to foster deeper connections while retaining label ownership?
 

 

SOLUTION:


After speaking with several music industry executives for research and additional cultural insight, I created a persona to define a target audience. By creating a digital experience that serves as a hub for artists content, the need for an label internal artist driven platform that provides a new digital marketplace for official e-commerce & content. Two mockups were sketched by hand and converted into wireframes using Adobe XD. The mobile prototype was created using Invision.

RESULTS:


Since pitched, the feedback as been ongoing. Over time additional features will be designed and implemented within the prototype. Further iterations may include customized ecommerce shops, web3/nft galleries, AMA/chat for live streaming and listening experiences.
